Going Places

I hope this post finds everyone safe, happy, and well. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. There are so many things to be thankful for, it was nice to spend a day focusing on those things. We started the day at Grandma and Grandpa Snidermans, it was nice to visit with Uncle Steve, Aunt Laura, Kira, Arren, and Erin. Dinner was delicious. Then it was off to Grandma and Grandpa Nicholls. Corinne showed her Great-Grandma how to stick out her tongue and make noises. Then she had a marathon session of this new skill with Grandpa.

I don't remember if I mentioned it here, Corinne has been rolling over for almost two weeks. She is getting quite skilled and can roll with in 4 seconds of her bottom touching the floor. A moment ago she went belly to back. She is thrilled. Up until now the pattern has been; lay down, roll over, whine to be rolled back, get rolled back, and repeat. She scoots like crazy and will be everywhere soon. We have officially started child proofing the house not that she is on the go.

Kevin had the Friday after Thanksgiving off. So, he has three Fridays in a row with her. Last week went pretty well. This week they had a very fun day. She naps well, takes a bottle well, and is generally a pleasure. I messed up my back at work on friday and am still recovering. So, he is doing all the bending for both of us for the time being.

This morning was the Milford's Christmas Parade. Kevin marched with the Masons and Corinne and I cheered. It is surprisingly long, about 45 minutes. All of the dance schools perform, each brownie / girl scout / cub scout troop in Milford participates, in addition to all the businesses and marching bands. It was really quite impressive and a good time was had by all. We enjoyed the warm before the snow by getting the outside Christmas lights up. Now we are just relaxing and watching Corinne roll, over and over.

November

Okay, we have been slacking and I am sorry. Corinne had her cold for just a few days and was happy the whole time. We went for her 4 month check up and she is officially still growing. She is in the 50th percentile for weight (13.5 lbs) and 90th for height.

I went to the store after Halloween and found pumpkins were on sale for $1. I then knew my vision could come to fruition. I wanted to put Corinne into a pumpkin for her to enjoy the slime of pumpkin guts between her toes. I choose the perfect pumpkin, brought it home, popped the top off to let it warm up, and then popped Corinne in. She wasn't sure at first. Then she decided it was super fun. The husband and wife team Nicholls and Nicholls is responsible for these adorable shots of the little pumpkin.

Our baby that sleeps through the night forgot how to sleep through the night last week. One night she managed to sleep 11 PM-1 AM and then stay up past 5 AM, it was awesome. She is getting back on track this week. I think she may have been busy growing, her head seems larger now.

We have been figuring out winter wear more now that Winter is really here. She is adorable in her little bear thing, but cries every time we put it on. She then settles in and is okay with it.

Oh, and she rolled over for the first time this week, back to tummy, that is exciting!

My good black and white dog also forgot how to be a good dog last week. He ate a whole batch of chocolate cookies and the tupperware they were in, as well as, a whole pizza. He also seems to be getting back on track. The stars were just not aligned for our house last week.

Anyhow, Corinne and I are sitting on the couch and are happy to see Kevin has arrived home. We are preparing for the holiday season. We made 6 quarts of applesauce today and are stocking up for holiday baking.
